Bringing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Ethiopa.
Coach Sean Coleman from Gentry’s MMA & Fitness is leaving tomorrow to carry the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Ethiopia.
For those of you that don’t know Coach Sean, he has been a blue belt under me for a number of years and is the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 101 instructor at Gentry’s.
Coach Sean is a super cool dude is extremely passionate about God, his family, BJJ, Africa and charity. So, this trip is right up his alley.
Before Sean started teaching at Gentry’s MMA & Fitness he had his own school, Black Flag Combat. I went over there once to a seminar and eventually invited him to come train under my tutelage. Sean accepted.
Since then, Sean has become more than a student and even a friend. Sean is someone that I look to in tough times because he has this gift of positive prospective. He’s the type of dude that always sees the glass as half full.
I honestly can’t think of anyone better to be the ambassador for Gentry’s MMA & Fitness and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in general to go to Ethiopia and introduce this art we love so much to the people there.
Everyone here at Gentry’s is wishing Coach Sean the best and hopes his pasty self brings tons of sun tan lotion. That guy gets BUUUURRRRRNNNNT.
If you guys want to follow what’s happening, I’m sure he will keep people up to date on his facebook page which can be found here https://www.facebook.com/BJJinEthiopia.
And, for those folks in the BJJ 101 class, don’t worry, you’ll be in good hands. Coach Chavez and I will be covering for our boy while he’s doing good work over seas.
We will be covering the same great moves at the same times.
