Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition Schedule 2014

“What is a Champion but a guy that didn’t quit?… Life is a continuous experience.  You only fail by not learning.”  Renzo Gracie

Master Jacare and the entire Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team have always been advocates of competition.

There is no better way to improve as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athlete than by competition.  Competition highlights your weaknesses and gives an opportunity to see and fix your mistakes faster.

We encourage all of our students to compete however, it is NOT mandatory.  We understand that competition is not for everyone.  If you want to become an elite level practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu it is strongly suggested but, for the many students that enjoy the training to stay in shape while gaining an effective way of defending themselves it’s not necessary

For the guys/gals that are looking to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu heavily in 2014, you are more than welcome to compete in any additional events that you want to.  The list below is simply the list of events where there will be an official Gentry’s MMA & Fitness coach there to support you.

Our Brazilian Jiiu Jitsu in Buford Team will be doing it big again Below is our Jan – March 2014 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition Schedule:

For those planning of competing at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan’s Championship in California this year, please let coach Phillipe know by sending an email to Phillipe@gentrysmma.com.  He wants to coach you if possible but, does not want to fly out earlier than he has to.  The White and Blue Belts compete on the 12th and 13th. The Brown Belts usually compete on the 14th and 15th.  Also, if you are going, you should plan on staying through the 16th to watch all the Black Belt matches.
